Asia Markets: Asian markets roll along on Powell’s comments; Nikkei up for 5th straight day

Asian stock markets logged solid gains in early trading Thursday, with the exception of China, after the 2%-plus jumps in the U.S. as Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s comments Wednesday hinted at a slower pace of Fed rate increases next year.
